Follow the A470 to Merthyr Tydfil.
At the roundabout turn left towards
Abergavenny onto the A465
Take the first turning left (has a
hospital sign).
At the staggered crossroads go
straight across to Pontsticill.
Stay on that road (about 5 miles)
passing through Ponsticill village.
Approximately a mile past the
village the reservoir will be on your
right. Keeping the reservoir on
your right you will eventually come
to a no through road sign in front
of you.
Ignore the sign and carry on,
crossing the metal bridge across
the end of the reservoir.
The centre is 200yds on the left.
From the West
(Swansea)
Follow the A465 towards
Merthyr Tydfil.
At the roundabout (junction with
the A470) pass across towards
Abergavenny.
Take the first turning left
(has a hospital sign).
At the staggered crossroads go
straight across to Pontsticill.
Stay on that road (about 5 miles)
passing through Ponsticill village.
Approximately a mile past the
village the reservoir will be on your
right. Keeping the reservoir on
your right you will eventually come

(Abergavenny)
Take the Heads of the Valley
road, A465, towards Merthyr
Tydfil.
Follow the signposts for the
Brecon Mountain Railway from
the, A465.
Pass the Mountain Railway base
and continue on (keep right) to
the dam at the end of Pontsticil
Reservoir. Continue past the dam
and turn right at each road
junction until the reservoir is on
your right.
Keeping the reservoir on your
right you will eventually see a no
through road sign in front of you.
Ignore the sign and carry on,
crossing the metal bridge across
the end of the reservoir.

From the South
(Cardiff)
Follow the A470 to Merthyr Tydfil.
After passing Pontypridd pass
through 4 roundabouts,
remaining on the A470.
At the 5th roundabout turn right
for Abergavenny on the A465.
Take the first turning left (has a
hospital sign).
At the staggered crossroads go
straight across to Pontsticill.
Stay on that road (about 5 miles)
